Skibbutz is a trip into the future founded on the idea that augmenting humanity with machines in music is both inevitable and desirable. The brothers Günther and Hermann, after failing to become ski instructors in their home town, chose the only other path open to them: as après-ski instructors. In this heady world of booze and mirror balls they were inspired by the entire club being treated as a hybrid human-machine, and began to explore this concept in their own unique way. Returning to live performance in the new millennium has become a way to bring their message from the alps to the plains - the snow is melting and the whole world will become permanently après-ski if climate change continues at its current pace. Skibbutz is a peek into the future wrapped in hope, an invitation to rewild ourselves before we take on the planet, and to do it on the dance floor.
